The Deacons Are Coming
At the IDC’s invitation, almost 600 deacons from 35 countries and four continents came together in Rome and Assisi between the 21st and the 25th of October 2015. They celebrated the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the diaconate as a proper rank of the Church’s hierarchy. It was also during the 2nd Vatican Council that the International Diaconate Centre was founded and the celebrations provided the IDC with the opportunity to look back on 50 eventful years. You will be able to find here, in this video, the valuable experiences, the inspiring encounters and the impressive celebrations of the Jubilee days in Rome and Assisi.
