Ogni quattro anni, l’IDC organizza una Conferenza di studio. In quest’ultima occasione, più di 140 partecipanti provenienti da 5 continenti e da oltre 25 Paesi si sono riuniti a Roma.

Convegno internazionale di studi 2025 a Sacrofano, Roma

Dopo una pausa di 8 anni dovuta alla pandemia di coronavirus, il Convegno internazionale di studi CID si è svolto a Sacrofano, vicino a Roma, dal 17 al 20 febbraio 2025, con il titolo “Diaconi: Testimoni gioiosi della speranza”. Nell’ambito del convegno di studi si è svolta anche l’Assemblea generale, durante la quale sono stati eletti il Consiglio direttivo e i delegati del CID con voto elettronico.

Velehrad 2013 [translations pending]

Participants from more than 30 countries

The IDC has chosen Velehrad, the famous place of pilgrimage, on purpose. It is closely linked with the tradition of the two Apostles of the Slavs, Sts. Cyril and Methodius. In the year of our conference, one commemorated the fact that 1150 years before, the Patrons of Europe had set out on the mission to the Slavs. The abbey itself was founded by the Cistercians in the 13th century. The place offered a magnificent backstage as well as a programmatic orientation for the conference.

Velehrad 2013 [translations pending]

The deacons addressed Diakonia in an Intercultural Context

Deacons from all over the world see some good opportunities for the Christian faith in the countries of Eastern Europe. In their Study Conference which took place in Velehrad near Brno, Czech Republic, a place of pilgrimage, they came to the conclusion that the Church can credibly transmit the Christian values of unconditional love and mercy by means of an open attitude towards other cultural traditions.
