For a conference to be a success, one needs more than a captivating topic and good lecturers. At least as important is the infrastructure – and above all the congress centre. In order to ensure the best possible conditions a house located 20 kilometres from the gates of the Vatican was chosen for the jubilee.
Fraterna Domus, is the name of the house and it is more than just the pilgrims inn or a hotel. The house provides a conference infrastructure which can accommodate up to 1,000 people. Large and small conference rooms, overhead projectors and internet are part of the standards here.
As important as the technical equipment may be, an international conference on the diaconate is also about about something else: namely sharing a living faith. Liturgical celebrations may be held in the S.Maria Madre dell´Accoglienza Church, located on the premises.
With this “brotherly house” Fraterna Domus allows keeping the balance between the modern and inviting conference house (without letting the conference fees spiral high) and the relatively small distance to the “Eternal City” and its very special atmosphere.
